300-cr outlay for CC roads in SC, ST colonies
In order to focus upon the ideologies Dr.Ambedkar widely in the state, the government has proposed to install Dr. Ambedkar statues in all the mandals in a phased manner. Apart from it, the government is planning to lay cement roads to all the SC and ST colonies with in an outlay of Rs.300 cr.

On the eve of 126th birth anniversary of Dr. Ambedkar, the social welfare department organised a mega function at Dr. Ambedkar Bhavan here on Friday. Chittoor MLA D A Satya Prabha presided over the function. Reddy said that CM has laid foundation stone for erecting 125-feet height Ambedkar statue with an outlay of 120 cr. in an extant of 20 acres land at Amaravati.
He recalled that former Chief Minister N. T. Rama Rao established residential schools for the SCs “As long as I continue as a minister, I can act as the brother of SCs and STs to protect their welfare as per the provisions made by the Constitution.
The TDP Government would leave no stone unturned in respect of following the footsteps of Dr. Ambedkar “he reaffirmed. He regretted that many of the participants in the programme have tried to focus the ill functioning of a district authority instead of uttering the ideologies of Dr. Ambedkar.
Sharply reacting to the gross allegations of the TDP MP, Amaranatha Reddy strongly defended the stand of the CM in respect of inducting the ministers in to his cabinet adding that it was nor the right platform for pointing such issues. Chandragiri MLA Chevi Reddy Bhaskara Reddy also expressed his serious disgust over the functioning of District Collector Siddarth Jain. ZP Chairperson Girvani Chandra Prakash, TDP MLCs B.N.Rajasimhulu , G.Srinivasulu, Joint Collector Girisha , several SC leaders were present .
