He interacted with media persons at V Town police station, here on Thursday in connection with inauguration of Citizen-Centric Reception Centre. “The reopening of investigation is being considered on the request of mother of the deceased,” he informed.

“We may go for reinvestigation of Ayesha Meera case subject to legal possibilities. We got some legal provisions and are searching for technical possibilities,” he added and stated that Ayesha’s mother requested reinvestigation of the case expressing doubts on earlier investigation.

DGP said that trial has been completed and appeal was also made and at this stage there is a need to search for legal provisions for opening reinvestigation. He said that they would be providing special training to police personnel in latest technology. “We will modernise police services and utilise advanced technology for extending better services to the people,” he maintained.

Earlier, the DGP inaugurated Command Control Centre at district police office.SP Vishal Gunni, additional SP B Sarath Babu and others were present.
