Various people including officials, intellectuals and leaders of different communities unanimously said that Dr B R Ambedkar strived for all castes and creeds at his 126th birth anniversary celebrations held here on Friday. They garlanded the bronze statue and paid tributes to the social reformer.

MRO Rajasekhar Babu expressed sadness over prevailing untouchability. Professor Nayak said politicians are hindering constitutional rights to the downtrodden. On the other hand Pamalapadu Government High School Head Master Pulla Reddy acted against rally and meeting in the school. He said he won’t allow such programmes in the school. MRO, SI and MPDO were shocked by Pulla Reddy’s words.
