The Visakhapatnam Division of LIC of India, comprising 20 branches and 11 satellite offices in north coastal Andhra districts, has completed the 2016-17 financial year on a high note by selling 2.60 lakh policies and collecting a first premium of Rs 381 crore and thus met the annual budget, informed Senior Divisional Manager K Murlidar.

Visakhapatnam: The Visakhapatnam Division of LIC of India, comprising 20 branches and 11 satellite offices in north coastal Andhra districts, has completed the 2016-17 financial year on a high note by selling 2.60 lakh policies and collecting a first premium of Rs 381 crore and thus met the annual budget, informed Senior Divisional Manager K Murlidar.

He told The Hans India on Thursday that the division occupied No.1 position in South Central Zone consisting of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Karnataka States and 14th position at the all India level. Further elaborating on the functioning of the Visakha division, Murlidar informed that Parvathipuram, Srikakulam and Palasa branches have done more than 20,000 policies and thus occupied the top three positions in the Zone.

He also claimed that of the 20 branches, as many as 14 branches have crossed 10,000 policy mark which is an all time high in the last ten years.
