Tirupati: As the nation celebrates the 126th Dr BR Ambedkar Jayanti, the pilgrim city this time witnessed the birth anniversary celebration of the father of Indian constitution on large scale, on Friday. Political parties, government and educational institutions, individuals and social organizations observed the birth anniversary of the messiah the oppressed and depressed classes while rallies and meeting added more to the spirit of the commutation.
At a commemorative meeting held in TTD head administrative office here, Executive Officer said `Living a life following the principles of equality, liberty and fraternity taught by Bharat Ratna Dr BR Ambedkar rather living for long is the greatest tribute we offer to him’’.
Chief speaker DR B Rajani, Assistant Professor Virology, SV University said Ambedkar enlightened the lives of deprived section through his voice. ``Today we enjoying the efforts of Baba Saheb. We will stand up to his dreams only when we educated the downtrodden and needy who are still in the clutches of poverty’’ she said.
The real tribute to Ambedkar is removal of all forms inequalities in the society and end caste discrimination which is still persisting in one form or other said SV University vice chancellor A Damdodaram after paying floral tribute to Ambedkar in the University. Sri Padmavathi Mahila University observed both its formation day and also Ambedkar birth anniversary.
