Sub-registrar nabbed by ACB

Dwaraka Tirumala: Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials arrested a sub-registrar for taking a bribe from a person at Kamavarapukota Sub Registrar office, on Monday.According to ACB officials, Peethala Krishna Murthy of Jangareddigudem who was a Kirana merchant purchased 2 cents of land in T Narsapuram village.

During registration, the sub-registrar Alla Madhusudhana Rao demanded Rs10,000 as office formalities. The victim Krishna Murthy approached ACB officials. On the direction of ACB officials, Krishna Murthy handed over the currency to Sub-Registrar, in turn, the officials caught him red-handed. The ACB DSP V Gopalakrishna said that the accused would be produced before ACB court in Vijayawada.
