Chinaganjam: In connection with the World Liver Day, an awareness programme was held on Wednesday under the aegis of the Primary Health Centre medical officer Nayanala Venkata Subba Rao. Speaking on the significance of liver, Dr Subba Rao said that it is the duty of one and all to protect the liver which is a crucial organ in the human body. Liver gets damaged upon consumption of alcohol and drugs and will lose its capacity to digest food. Later, he screened patients for various diseases.
