Vinay Chand takes charge as Prakasam district Collector

Ongole: Vadarevu Vinay Chand took charge as the Collector and Prakasam district Magistrate on Friday from In-charge Collector Dr M Hari Jawaharlal.Vinay Chand, a 2008 batch IAS officer and engineer in electrical and electronics from Ibrahimpatnam in Krishna district, had worked as an Assistant Collector in Prakasam district, Sub- Collector for Madanapalle, Joint Collector for Chittoor, Project Officer of ITDA, Visakhapatnam.
He worked as the Commissioner of Tirupati Municipal Corporation and Vice- Chairman of Tirupati Urban Development Authority before being transferred as Collector to Prakasam district.Speaking on the occasion, Vinay Chand said, “I will try to implement the government schemes and programmes effectively in the district by coordinating with the officials as well as the political and public representatives. I will try to develop the district by working hard.”
