Collector assures compensation to Purshottapatnam farmers
District collector Karthikeya Misra asserted that all steps would be taken to pay compensation to farmers, who parted with their lands for Purusottapatnam Lift Irrigation Scheme.He conducted a review meeting with sub-collector Vijaya Krishnan and municipal commissioner V Vijayarama Raju on various development programmes, here on Saturday.

Directing the officials to take steps to expedite works of the scheme, Misra made it clear that the works should be completed in the stipulated time announced by the government.Later, the collector visited government general hospital and inquired about the health condition of the people, who were injured in the road accident at Eathakota on Friday. He instructed hospital authorities to shift the injured persons to Kakinada, if necessary.
