It was decided to take special care for the development of Papikondalu region for the nature lovers and tourists. According to the proposals, the 40-cottage resorts would have conference hall, shopping complex, restaurant, boating, swimming pool, fishing activities. The resorts will be organised by the Forest department.Likewise, all the tourist centres would be provided bar and restaurants except Kovvuru Goshpada Kshetram. The Collector directed officials to speed up the development works of tourism spots which started last year to the tune of Rs 6.5 crore. The R and B guest houses would also be given on rental basis and online booking should also be provided, he said.

He also directed the officials to construct the roads where there is no transport facility to the tourist centres. He directed the officials to prepare proposals to construct roads from Maddi Anjaneyaswamy Temple in Guravaigudem to Yerrkalva Reservoir in Konguvarigudem over 3 km , Pedamallam to Sidhantham bridge on the Godavari river bund over 8 Km length, Dongaravipalem to Sidhdhantham Bridge up to 1.50 Km, Chinchinada National Highway to Chinchinada boating point up to 3 Km., roads should construct, he directed., The Tourism Regional Director SG Bhimashankara Rao, Tourism Officer K Srinivasulu, DFO N Nageswara Rao, AP Tourism development Corporation EE S Srinivasa Rao, SETWEL Manager KS Prabhakara Rao, Drainage EE R Raghunath participated in the meeting.
