Visakhapatnam: The International Institute of Digital Technologies-Tirupati (IIDT) will offer courses on artificial intelligence and machine learning in the city in collaboration with a New York- based company, said IT Adviser to state government JA Choudhary.It is also preparing a course module to train cops on cyber security, he added.Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, Choudhary said IIDT had also announced that the registration for its second batch will be opening from April 23. The admission test will be conducted on June 25 while the course will commence from August 16.

The institute is now offering two postgraduate programmes in Cyber Security and Business Analytics with faculty and delivery partners like Gujarat Forensic Sciences University (Gandhinagar) and Praxis Business School (Kolkata). Briefing about the IIDT courses, Chowdary said there was no fixed number of seats or age limit to take admission. Admission will be given basing on the quality of the students and their performance in the entrance examination..

IIDT in collaboration with a New York-based company will offer courses on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in the city besides courses on financial technologies will also be provided in Vizag at Fintech Valley which has been a great advantage to the IT sector. Mentors from across the globe will be guiding the students of IIDT.Stating that the police needed training in cyber security as the crimes are surging in this sector, he said and added that the government is exploring to open courses in this regard even they will be extended to district-level soon.
