Importance of green energy stressed
The AP Pollution Control Board (APPCB) and the Regional Science Centre (RSC) jointly organised a rally here on Saturday, on the occasion of the World Earth Day. Tirupati: The AP Pollution Control Board (APPCB) and the Regional Science Centre (RSC) jointly organised a rally here on Saturday, on the occasion of the World Earth Day. Rally was taken out from the APPCB office to RSC.Students of Visvam education institutions, Little Angels institute, NCC, Youngistan staff and representatives of various industries participated in the rally. On the occasion, the RSC exhibited science shows for students.
In the concluding session, Sri Venkateswara University (SVU) HoD of Environmental Science Prof T Damodaram, environmental engineers A Narendra Babu, Sham and Nagaraju have participated as guests.Another programme was held jointly by United Nations Association (UNA)–AP and SVU in the varsity campus. Endowments Minister P Manikyala Rao participated as a chief guest. He agreed to implement the agenda formulated by UNA-AP and SVU.
SVU V-C Prof A Damodaram explained the importance of green energy and how it is being implemented in the university. APSPDCL CMD HY Dora, UNA-Tamil Nadu head Narayana, UNA-UP head Sudhansur, Suresh Srivastava, L Jayaramulu and Prof Jayachandra Reddy also took part.
