Vijayawada: The Federation of Andhra Pradesh Teachers Organisation (FAPTO) and Joint Action Committee of Teachers Organisation (JACTO) would jointly lay seige to the Directorate of School Education (DSE), Ibrahimpatnam on May 3.
The representatives of teachers unions said that a decision to this effect was taken as the government was ignoring the demands of the teachers in spite of the repeated representations. The teachers unions in a statement, here on Saturday demanded that the government should stop closure of schools in the name of rationalisation. They have also demanded that the government should cancel teachers’ transfers.

They also called for cancellation of CPS and CCE education system. “Appoint senior headmasters as Deputy Educational Officers. Release second round of DA, 10 months PRC arrears and solve the issues of municipal and model school teachers,” they asserted.FACTO and JACTO members P Babu Reddy, M Kamalakar Rao, G Hrudaya Raju, Chandra Krishnamohan, Ch, Joseph Sudheer Babu, P Panduranga Prasad, M Rajashekar, MV Ramanaiah and others were present.
