Greenfield Stadium cries for attention at Amudalavalasa
The only big stadium in terms of area in the district, the NTR Greenfield Stadium near Thimmapuram in Amudalavalasa mandal was neglected by the state government for the past two years even after its inauguration. After completion of the construction of compound wall on one side and administrative block, the stadium was inaugurated.

Rupees 3.50 crore funds necessary for the development of stadium
After completion of the construction of compound wall on one side and administrative block, the stadium was inaugurated. But other facilities and equipment have not been provided as a result it has been remaining unused since its inauguration. Compound was constructed only on roadside whereas there is no wall on three other sides.
Similarly, flooring of the stadium should be levelled, indoor stadium and track should be developed for sports meets. Except administrative building other essential buildings works were stopped in the midway.For regular maintenance of the stadium, a watchmen, office subordinate, track men, computer operator, clerk, technical staff, office furniture and computers are required. To appoint persons in all those jobs, Rs 50 lakh is necessary. In addition to it, another Rs 3 crore is required for the indoor stadium construction with modern technology.“We have prepared proposals for the stadium with Rs 3.50 crore,” Amudalavalasa MLA and Government Whip Kuna Ravi Kumar said.
