Kadapa: Sensing early polls nearly a year ahead of schedule Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is seemingly willing to launch election campaign from Kadapa district by conducting party formation day Mahanadu there. According to the highly confidential sources, the party supremo was overjoyed for cracking YSR family bastion in Kadapa district by defeating family member YS Vivekananda Reddy in the recent Local Authority Constituency Elections (LACE). With the same sprit he wants to root out the YSRCP politically by organising a Mahanadu in Kadapa.

A party senior leader told Hans India that Naidu had already discussed the issue with some of his close associates who positively responded to his proposal and assured success of the event. It may be recalled that since last four decades TDP is lagging behind in Kadapa district as it has become a mammoth task for that party to even prove its political existence due to in effective leadership in Kadapa district. Especially during the regime of late chief minister Rajasekhara Reddy TDP had just confined to dharnas, and leading agitations against Congress rule from 2004 to 2014.
Even after the 2014 elections YSR’s family domination continued in Kadapa district following YSR Congress party had secured nine MLA segments and two MP seats, Kadapa Zilla Parishad , Kadapa municipal corporation including some municipalities in the district. Jammalamadugu MLA and 1 MLC recently increase TDP party MLAs count. After winning the Local Body Constituency MLC elections, the party become much strengthened and picked up hold in the district. Providing ministerial berth to C. Adinarayana Reddy and deployment of Agriculture Minister S.
Chandra Mohan Reddy as in charge minister for Kadapa district politically added bonus point for the party for ensuring 2019 elections. Sources disclosed that the idea in conducting Mahanadu in Kadapa district will be not only useful to eradicate internal disputes witnessed between some leaders but also will help to inject new blood in the party cadres from grassroots level. “I think proposal of conducting Mahanadu in Kadapa is the right proposal as it will be easy task for TDP to ensure comprehensive victory in the coming 2019 elections” said a party senior.
