Tirupati: CPI national secretary K Narayana alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was instigating communal forces to cover up his failures in the elections. The BJP has lost the elections in Delhi, Punjab and even the local body polls in Gujarat, but could win only in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. In Goa and Manipur, BJP managed to form governments by making the minority group as majority with the help of Governors, the CPI leader said. He was speaking to the media in Tirupati on Tuesday.

Narayana accused Modi of murdering the secularism. The Prime Minister is mulling the idea of going for polls during the end of 2018, in a hope that he would derive benefit. There is no use of going for advance elections, he said. The surgical strikes on currency have not yielded any results. It only benefitted in exchanging currency worth thousands of crores of rupees and to convert black money into white money. Money flow has never stopped, he observed.

The Chief Ministers of the two Telugu States have attended the NITI Aayog meet in Delhi. But they failed in pressurising the PM on various issues which need Centre’s help. Chandrababu Naidu is spending time in praising Modi always at the cost of the interests of the State, he said. Commenting on the social media issue, he said that it is common to heckle the political leaders. They should take it in a sportive manner.

It is very shameful that Chandrababu Naidu is encouraging sand mafia which posed a big threat for the groundwater on one hand and asking people to dig farm ponds and build check-dams to increase groundwater. Referring to his comments on Tirupati urban SP R Jayalakshmi, he said that without talking to the villagers and providing a solution to them, she avoided them. “All these have links up to CM. I will take up this issue at the national level. To find out the truth, judicial enquiry is required. There is no use with the CBI enquiry as CM and PM are one.”

He criticised Telangana Chief Minister KCR also for closing down the Dharna Chowk. Now the communist party leaders, cadre and others were staging dharnas in Makhdoom Bhavan. Is this democracy, he asked. “Even PM Modi is better than KCR as he has not closed Jantar Mantar,” he said.CPI district secretary A Rama Naidu criticised the TTD trust board members who complete their term on April 26 stating that they have done nothing for the development of Tirupati. Party leader Chinnam Penchalaiah and others were present.
