Nellore sizzles at 42.8 degree Celsius

Nellore: The district has been registering around 43-44 degree Celsius for last three days and the soaring temperatures have been leading to sunstroke deaths in the district. Nellore recorded 43.3 degree Celsius on Saturday, 43.9 on Sunday and 42.8 on Monday that are above normal during April. Though the district administration announced that officials would provide water and buttermilk at important places but the city has been lacking adequate centres for distribution and the people were relying on vendors. Pushcarts and street vendors, NREGS workers and construction labourers were the main victims of temperatures. Now, majority roads in the city wore a deserted look with soaring temperatures.
