Amaravati: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu instructed officials to suspend working hours of employment guarantee scheme from 12 noon to 4 pm every day in view of scorching heat. Participating in a review meeting with health department officials at Interim Secretariat at Velagapudi here on Tuesday, he asked them to distribute butter milk to workers during their work period.

The health department officials were directed to take immediate steps to avoid sunstroke by distributing medicines and taking precautionary measures. He alerted the officials that the heat waves may increase and weather may be turn more hot in May. He said that water kiosks should be arranged at all the centers across the State. Similarly drinking water and ORS packets should be provided in all the RTC buses, he ordered.

The government has given more priority to health sector he said and revealed Kuchipudi, Yoga and happy Sunday programmes were being implemented to make the State a happy State.The government is explaining the importance of cleanliness and good food habits. The expenditure on health is now a burden to every family and it could be avoided by following good habits and hygienic conditions at their residing areas.

The people should focus to increasing resistance power in their bodies and said the government is implementing schemes in this direction. P Health Minister Kamineni Srinivas and several officials were also present in the meeting.
