National General Secretary of Telugu Desam Party and Panchayat Raj Minister Nara Lokesh will inaugurate the party new and modern office building built at a cost of Rs 6 crore at Pandimetta area in the city on May 6 during his three-day maiden visit to the district.

The building was totally completed except compound wall which is going on at a brisk pace, along with other minor works. Visakha South MLA, who is also the party urban president Vasupalli Ganesh Kumar, is planning with local Ministers, MPs, MLAs and MLCs for according a tumultuous welcome to the party National General Secretary as he was paying his maiden visit after assuming charge as PR Minister.

The state of the art four-storeyed centralised AC building is having a huge hall with a capacity of 500 persons to hold party meetings, a special suit cum spacious room meant for party National President and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and to other VVIPs visiting the office with latest facilities, a video conference hall, provision of rest rooms for those coming from far off places and with a spacious parking lot.

The entire responsibility from the building design stage was shouldered by the party senior most leader and former MP and present MLC Dr M V V SMurthi who is monitoring the work. The building design was initially approved by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and Lokesh before taking up the construction. Minister Lokesh after participating in a series of programmes in the city and rural areas will inaugurate the building on the final day of his visit on May 6. The opening of the building assumed significance in view of the party’s Mahanadu is also being conducted in the district on a large-scale.
