Kadapa: District Collector T Baburao Naidu has directed the officials to ensure all-round development of the district. He reviewed the implementation of various welfare schemes with the officials at the Collectorate here on Tuesday. Regarding drinking water shortage in 182 villages, Naidu asked officials to come up with plans to provide drinking water on permanent basis. He directed the officials of the Agriculture department to encourage farmers for digging more farm ponds to recharge groundwater.
The Collector instructed the officials of the Horticulture department to take an initiative for raising horticulture crops in 15,000 acres. Expressing dismay over farmers selling away cattle to slaughter houses, the Collector asked officials to take measures for motivating farmers to grow fodder for feeding cattle. CPO Thippeswamy, DRDA official J Anil Kumar Reddy and other officials were present.
