In an informal interaction with mediapersons at the Secretariat in Velagapudi on Wednesday, he clarified that the Chief Minister has asked the ministers to be prepared for early elections whenever they are held.

Amaravati: Panchayat Raj and IT minister Nara Lokesh said that his father and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has never commented on early elections to the State Assembly. In an informal interaction with mediapersons at the Secretariat in Velagapudi on Wednesday, he clarified that the Chief Minister has asked the ministers to be prepared for early elections whenever they are held.

“Which state will accept early elections one year ahead of completion of term. They will accept only if the elections are held six months in advance,” Lokesh said.While maintaining that there are no elections to any State Assembly during 2018, he added that he is ready to take the responsibility for municipal elections.

He opined that ‘One nation-one election” system is not possible in India. Stating that Chandrababu Naidu has put in hard work during the last three years for the development of the state, he exuded confidence that no other party than TDP will win any elections in the future.
