Nara Lokesh says no to PM Modi's single poll idea

Andhra Pradesh Panchayat Raj Minister Nara Lokesh on Thursday responded to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's single poll idea.

Stating that no state will agree to the one year early polls, Nara Lokesh disapproved the idea of single poll but said that the only possibility for it to happen if it is six months early to the prescribed elections.

Pointing out that there won't be a need for early elections in AP, he said that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu mentioned regarding the early elections but didn't inform further about the time period.

The Minister said that Chandrababu called upon to be prepared for early elections.

Nara Lokesh also added that he is willing to take the responsibility if municipal elections are held in the state.
