He mentioned that the TTD has spent money Rs 41.41 crore for renovation of roads, setting up of LED lights and arches in the city and improving green cover. Chadalawada informed media that the TTD has sanctioned Rs 65 crore for improvement of infrastructure in SVIMS and BIRRD hospitals. “The TTD laid foundation stone for reconstruction of Sri Vakulamatha temple at Peruru Banda in March 2017,” he added. He further said that the double Decker train between Tirupati and Visakhapatnam was introduced for the pilgrim convenience with TTD’s intervention.
The TTD board took a decision for construction of Srivari Sadan (accommodation) for Sevaks with an outlay of Rs 70 crore. Krishnamurthy also disclosed that he was instrumental in setting up Rs 300 special darshan counter at Srinivasam Pilgrim Complex here.
The devasthanam has sanctioned Rs 14.5 crore for construction of own building to the SVBC Channel at Alipiri. A decision was taken to telecast programmes in Tamil and Kannada languages through the SVBC, the TTD chief said and added that the TTD has announced an incentive of Rs 3,000 per month for each potu worker. The TTD took over Vontimitta temple and spending Rs 100 crore for temple renovation, he added.
