Collector inspects Rytu Bazaar at Swarajya Maidan
Krishna District Collector B Lakshmi Kantham visited Swarajya Maidan Rythu Bazar on Thursday and inspected shop licences of farmers and enquired about the facilities and prices of vegetables. He interacted with the farmers and consumers and collected information about the functioning of Rytu Bazar and facilities arranged by the marketing department.
Vijayawada: Krishna District Collector B Lakshmi Kantham visited Swarajya Maidan Rythu Bazar on Thursday and inspected shop licences of farmers and enquired about the facilities and prices of vegetables. He interacted with the farmers and consumers and collected information about the functioning of Rytu Bazar and facilities arranged by the marketing department.
Speaking on the occasion, Collector B Lakshmi Kantham said that he would not tolerate middleman system at Rythu Bazar.
He further stated that Rytu Bazar system was introduced to give financial assistance to farmers and getting better prices to their produce.
He warned of initiating action against the marketing department staff if middlemen are found in Rytu Bazar. The Collector said that the farmers should possess ID cards issued by the officials concerned at Rytu Bazar. He further stated that development works were taken up for the convenience of farmers and consumers.
