MP Galla Jayadev, who was elected from Guntur Lok Sabha constituency, is not staying locally. In Mangalagiri, the ruling party lost the sitting councillor seat. Ravela Kishore Babu representing Prathipadu Assembly constituency lost his Cabinet berth due to rivalry with ZP chairperson Md Janimun when she lodged a complaint against him for sending his followers to attack her house. For the fifth time, MLA D Narendra was disappointed regarding a berth in the Cabinet.
