Eluru: In what is viewed as end of bad blood, TDP MLA and whip Chintamaneni Prabhakar and tahsildar Vanjakshi shook hands at a programme held at Denduluru, near here on Thursday.It should be recalled that the tahsildar and MLA involved in a bitter fight over sand mining in Tammileru rivulet. On June 8, 2015, Vanajakshi the then tahsildar of Musunuru mandal in Krishna district obstructed sand mining in the area.

At the same time Prabhakar reached the spot and entered into a heated argument with the revenue official. It was alleged that the MLA manhandled the tahsildar and Vanjakshi filed a case against him.On Thursday, Vanajakshi now tahsildar of Nuzvid attended an adoption meeting at Denduluru village She adopted Bankapalli Meghana a class V student from Balasadanam.

Vanajakshmi and her friends decided to help the girl and they deposited Rs 1.10 lakh in the bank on Meghana’s name. The tahsildar said that she would shift Meghana to ICDS hostel and would look after her welfare. Denduluru MLA Chintamaneni Prabhakar, who also attended the programme and welcomed the tahsildar. Later, speaking to media persons, she dubbed the incident as unfortunate. “We have no differences,” she asserted.

Prabhakar said that everyone should take Vanajakshi as an inspiration and adopt the orphan children.Mandal parishad president Suseela, ZPTC member Sakku Kumari, AMC chairman Maganti Surendranath Choudary and others were also present.
