Vijayawada: The government contract and outsourcing employees, teachers and workers state-level meeting will be held at Makineni Basava Punnaiah Vignana Kendram (MBVK) near Bandar Road in the city on Sunday. In this meeting Joint Action Committee (JAC) will be formed to resolve the problems of contract and outsourcing workers and employees. About three lakh contract, outsourcing, part time employees are working in the state.

They are facing several problems regarding regularisation, enhancement of salaries and not fulfilling the promises made by the TDP before the elections.According to AP State Government Contract, Outsourcing Employee’s Union state president AV Nageswara Rao, JAC would be formed at state-level meeting. Contract and outsourcing employees are still waiting for regularisation of their jobs, but the government is not fulfilling its election promise, he alleged.


As per Supreme Court directive, the contract and outsourcing employees have to get equal pay for equal work in the state. On par with regular employees of the state government, the government should pay wages on the first of every month, should pay Dearness Allowance (DA), 180-day maternity leave, including wages and compensation appointment to the deceased families of the contract workers and outsourcing employees, he demanded.AP State Government Contract and Outsourcing Employees Union taking initiative to form Joint Action Committee (JAC), including teachers and workers and fight for demands, he added.
