Kurnool: Rayalaseema Saguneeti Sadhana Samithi (RSSS) president Bojja Dasaratha Rami Reddy demanded the government to pay attention for the early completion of Gundrevula reservoir for utilising rightful share in Tungabhadra waters which would resolve irrigation and drinking water problems in Kurnool. He addressed a seminar on Rayalaseema rights on water allocation organised at Government Town Model High School here on Friday.

The RSSS leader said the region has more allocation of water from Krishna and Tungabhadra rivers. Unfortunately, he said that there is no proper utilisation of the allocated water. The political parties are doing great injustice to Rayalaseema region, he lamented. He urged the state government to allocate water to meet irrigation, drinking and cattle needs. He also asked the state government to submit proposals to the tribunal for allocation of additional water to Rayalaseema region.
