Minister for Water Resources and district in-charge Devineni Uma Maheshwara Rao has reiterated the state government\'s resolve to complete all pending projects in the state in two years.Addressing a review meeting here on Sunday, Devineni stated that the state government is working in a mission mode to complete all pending projects in the state including Polavaram project by 2019.
Anantapur: Minister for Water Resources and district in-charge Devineni Uma Maheshwara Rao has reiterated the state government's resolve to complete all pending projects in the state in two years.Addressing a review meeting here on Sunday, Devineni stated that the state government is working in a mission mode to complete all pending projects in the state including Polavaram project by 2019.
The chief minister he said is thoroughly reviewing all irrigation projects every Monday. The minister said that the Bhairavanitippa project and the Peruru irrigation projects will also be completed at the earliest. Jeedipalle reservoir also had been completed as promised. So far Rs.1700 crore has been spent n HLC project and minor irrigation projects in the district. These projects will be completed in 3 months, he assured.
Devineni said that that the chief minister Chandrababu Naidu has a special love and concern for the development of the district and that's why he was appointed as in-charge minister to specially focus on completion of irrigation projects.
When Uravakonda MLA Visveshwara Reddy told the minister that despite spending Rs.56 crores on the Hundri Neeva canal water was not brought to Uravakonda region, the officers explained that the water would soon reach the region as trial run is underway for releasing water. The minister said that all works should be completed in 90 days.
