Amalapuram: Unidentified persons smashed glass panes of at least 10 cars parked in front of houses in the town in the early hours of Sunday. The incident created furore as it happened on the day of the DGP Sambasiva Rao’s visit to the town.
It may be recalled that five cars parked in front of a movie theatre in the town were damaged following a protest by fans of various Tollywood heroes over the controversy surrounding the Baahubali benefit show.

The latest development of damaging cars parked in front of homes occurred in the early hours of Sunday. Police are out to find out whether there was a pattern behind vandalising cars or it was simply a mischievous act by miscreants. Police are busy verifying the CCTV footage to identify the culprits behind the smashing of car windows.
