Visakhapatnam: TDP leaders led by deputy chief minister and minister for home affairs N Chinarajappa, minister for energy Kimidi Kala Venkata Rao and HRD minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao visited several vacant sites in the city on Monday to finalise the venue for the Mahanadu, which will be held here for three days starting May 27.

They visited Andhra University Engineering college grounds, APIIC grounds near Harbour Park, where two partnership summits were held, vacant site near Old Dairy Farm adjacent to National Highway and Ukkunagaram grounds.
The three ministers accompanied by MLAs assessed the land size, approach roads, parking space, security, kitchens and dining space.

The leaders visited the Old Dairy Farm for the second time in one week, since it was found to be most convenient for parking for both four wheelers and two wheelers and buses. The site is also located in the heart of the city.Though the local leaders suggested APIIC grounds, where partnership summits were held and liked by the Chief Minister himself, HRD minister suggested that it would not be convenient for two wheeler and bus parking.

This is for the third time the Mahanadu is being held in the city. The meeting assumes importance, since BJP will be having its national executive meeting in July mid-week and a series of national leaders will be making several trips prior to that.
Anakapalle MLA Peela Govind Satyanarayana, Visakhapatnam south MLA Vasupalle Ganesh Kumar, Paykaraopeta MLA Vanagalapudi Anitha and local leaders were present.
