Amaravati: Newly elected MLCs Chikkala Ramachandra Rao and Angara Rammohan Rao took oath as members of the Legislative Council. AP Legislative Council chairman Chakrapani administered the oath to the two members at Velagapudi on Tuesday.
After taking charge as members of the Council, they said that they would work for strengthening the local bodies. The TDP has selected them as MLCs from local bodies in recognition of their services. They thanked Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for giving them an opportunity to serve as members in the Council. Chikkala Ramachandra Rao said the party has made him member of the Council though he has been maintaining the distance from active politics for the last 13 years.
