Laddu workers stage protest at Durga temple
Laddu (Prasadam) preparation workers at Sri Durga Malleswara Swamyvarla Devasthanam boycotted their duties for a few hours at the Prasadam section here on Tuesday.They demanded that the temple administration hike their salary as per government guidelines.
Vijayawada: Laddu (Prasadam) preparation workers at Sri Durga Malleswara Swamyvarla Devasthanam boycotted their duties for a few hours at the Prasadam section here on Tuesday.They demanded that the temple administration hike their salary as per government guidelines.
Durga temple Prasadam section superintendent Krishna Prasad said that nearly 80 Laddu preparation workers were working in the section and administration was considering the proposal to hike their salary.But unfortunately, a few workers staged a protest demanding that the temple administration increase their salary.
Devasthanam Assistant Commissioner Vishnuvardhan said that temple administration has hiked the salary of transport and Pulihora section workers in the past and the temple administration would also hike the salary of Laddu preparation workers on par with other section workers.
