Krishna District Cricket Association (KDCA) is conducting B Division League tournament for Devineni Venkata Ramana and Praneetha trophy in the city.

MD Academy won the toss and chose to bat first and scored 197 for the loss of four wickets in the stipulated 25 overs. Opening batsman Rahim scored 87 runs in 67 balls (9 boundaries, 1 six) and another batsman Satish scored 49 runs and helped team score big. Later, Bezawada Warriors were all out for 101 runs in 19.3 overs. Batsman Kiran made 30 runs and Prasad scored 30.

In another match Vijayawada Blues won the match by 86 runs against Soldiers eleven in the match held at Indira Gandhi Municipal Corporation (IGMC) stadium here on Friday. Vijayawada Blues scored 142 runs in 22.4 overs. Players Sudheer scored 29 runs, Ravi and Vinay scored 26 and 24 respectively.

Later Soldiers team failed to reach target 143 runs and team all out for only 56 runs in 11.1 runs. Vijayawada Blues bowler Ravi took four wickets for eight runs. He excelled with both, the bat and ball and helped his team win the match. In third match, Rajesh CC won the match by six wickets over Ayur Fitnes CC at Siddhartha Medical College grounds.

Ayur Fitnes CC team batted first and scored 60 runs in 13.2 overs. Rajesh cc bowler Prem took 5 for 25 and restricted the rival team to low score. Another bowler Praveen took three wickets. Later, Rajesh reached its target 61 runs in just 11.5 overs and batsman Naveen scored 22 runs.
