30 thatched houses gutted

Kotipam (Vizianagaram): Thirty thatched houses in Kotipam village in Komarada mandal in the district were gutted in a fire mishap on Saturday and people living in them were rendered homeless. The fire broke out from a hearth and soon flames engulfed the house and spread to other houses in the street. Around five cooking gas cylinders were blasted. Hence, people could not save their grains, garments and valuables. The loss is estimated at Rs 15 lakh. MPP N Priyanka and others paid a visit to the village and assured help to those people who lost their property.
