Eluru: Deputy Chief Minister and Revenue Minister K E Krishna Murthy said that new urban mandals would be set up soon in the state to decrease the burden on the urban area Tahsildars.He addressed the revenue, stamps and registration officials review meeting held here on Saturday at the Collectorate.

Speaking as chief guest, the Minister said that the government had taken up various reforms in revenue departments during last 34 months in the state. With this, the administration sped up in the department. He said the Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and other states’ officials toured Andhra Pradesh to study the revenue reforms and expressed their sisfaction over the services. He pointed out that last year the assembly had passed three bills related to the public interest.

He said there was an important bill which aimed at to regularising the management rights of the persons who lost their decades-old documents and records. As per this bill, the persons who are enjoying the land over 30 years will be eligible to regularise their properties. The Revenue Minister said that vehicles had been provided to the revenue officials to minimise the work burden. As part of this, the urban mandals would also be established in the state. He said that the surveyors working performance should improve.

“I am worried about the allegations on the revenue department that are published in the newspapers. You the Revenue personnel should concentrate on to remove this bad remark of corruption”, he called. The Deputy Chief Minister appreciated the district collector on introducing the biometric attendance, E-Nivas, LEC cards distribution and other issues.

Land administration special commissioner Anil Chandra Punith said that the state stood in first in the country by linking the aadhar cards to the land records. He stated that the state stood in first in registering land records with bank creation charges and 2016-17 the state achieved the national award in E-Governance implementation.
