Kurnool: District Judge, Anupama Chakravarthy said police need not bring the accused to the court for trails and instead she suggested to show them through video conference from the jails concerned. She further suggested the officials to initiate steps to lessen the non - bailable warrants by not keeping them pending for long time. She made these suggestions during a crime review meeting held at Ved Vyas Auditorium on Saturday.

The Judge said to show immediate solution on the pending cases and suggested the officials to be skilled at crime investigations. No accused should be spared to produce before court during trails and the investigating officer should also attend the court, she stated.

Superintendent of Police, Ake Ravi Krishna ordered the officials to ensure steps to reduce the road accidents and they have to make the people aware about the precautions to be taken. ‘Intensify the drunk and drive program besides educating the car drivers to tie the seat belts and helmet to motorists’ he said.

The SP suggested the night duty police to wear radium jackets.Ravi Krishna also suggested the officials to immediately bring to the notice of the higher officials in case of any road accidents. He said them to collect the phone numbers of the nearest nursing homes, hospitals so that the road accident victims could be immediately admitted and treated. The police have to ensure no liquor is allowed at road side dhabas along the national highways.
