Visakhapatnam: There are no downsides to a chilled glass of fresh fruit juice and with the current heat wave sending temperatures soaring across Vizag, it’s extremely important to know your best thirst-quenchers in the city.As per IMD officials, the city is witnessing soaring temperatures almost touching 35 degrees Celsius and thankfully, Vizag has enough of juice corners scattered across its vast length and breadth to keep one hydrated and refreshed throughout the day.

Sukh Sagar at TSR Complex is a must visit place in and around the city for delicious milkshakes and smoothies, as well as salads and fruit juices. Sukh Sagar is known to the Vizagites as summer friend that provides for everything one needs to stay healthy and hunky in the heat. One can choose from their range of fruit shakes like Mulberry Treat (Rs 95) with mulberries, strawberries and litchi, or go for their fruit mocktail coolers like Kiwi Cooler (Rs 125), or something called the Legend Blend (Rs 130) with mulberry, strawberry and orange.

They also have a fruit platter (Rs 110) full of seasonal fruits. The proud owners Ramesh Babu says many people visit his shop to avoid dehydration and to relieve from the thirst under the scorching sun.  Keertana, air hostess, said that she drink juice regularly throughout the year.

“As per my profession I need to drink more fruit drinks to maintain skin glow. Here the shakes and various juices not only tickle my taste buds, but also makes me stay healthy,’’ she says. Jagadeesh, marketing manager of a private company, said that due to the demand these juice centres also increasing their prices, whereas the common man can afford up to Rs 30 to Rs 50 only. “The juice makers are taking advantage of the weather and fleecing people,” opined.
