Now the district collector office is also going to be a power production centre as the New and Renewable Energy Development Corporation of Andhra Pradesh(NREDCAP) has planned to generate solar power on the terrace of the Collector’s office. The office has a vast terrace and there are no hurdles like trees or any shades to obstruct the sun light. Based on all positive conditions the NEDCAP has been installing solar panels on the terrace with the expenditure of Rs.35.5 lakh.

Now the technicians and engineers are busy with the installation of the panels and within few days those will be connected to the transformer. District manager of NEDCAP K.Ramaraju told The Hans India that “Solar power is cheaper than the other powers and even the consumers get some subsidy from the government too. Once it is installed we needn’t bother about the maintenance. Simply the consumers can avail its services.
