Ongole: PCC Chief N Raghuveera Reddy called upon party leaders and cadre to work hard and make Rahul Gandhi Prime Minister of India. He participated in a meeting with in charges of Assembly constituencies, here on Monday and asked them to complete membership drive by May 15 without fail.

“In 2009, we took a pledge to not to rest until we make Rahul Gandhi as prime minister of India. Though few coward and selfish leaders left the party after unforeseen incidents, we are committed to our word.

We want to make Rahul Gandhi, who rejected the offer of becoming PM from Manmohan Singh in 2011 and president of Congress Working Committee when his mother is ill, as prime minister at any cost in 2019, by increasing the membership base of the party,” he stated.

Reacting to a question about the CM candidate of his party in the state, he said, “The position is reserved for Chandrababu Naidu or Lokesh Babu in TDP and YS Jaganmohan Reddy in YSR Congress Party. But in Congress, it is open for everyone.

Anyone who performs better has the probability of becoming chief minister and that’s why we call our party is the only democratic party.”
