Pithapuram: Smart Pulse Survey enumerators who worked hard to collect data of citizens are yet to get their remunerations. The survey was conducted in two phases in 2016. The first phase was conducted from July 6-30 and the second phase was conducted from August 6-30.

In Pithapuram, as many as 32 enumerators and six supervisors were deputed to complete the task. They went to each and every family in the town and saved data of every individual in the tabs they were provided with.

It is pity that these people who worked from morning 6 ‘o’ clock to evening 10 ‘o’ clock irrespective of unfavourable climatic conditions haven’t received their pay even after eight months of the project completion.

The survey had been taken place under the supervision of district collector. Joint-collector and RDO level officials kept monitoring the survey. It is learnt that each enumerator has to get remuneration of Rs 3,000 to Rs 8,000. The enumerators expressed anguish over the delay in their payments.

They say that they haven’t even received remuneration for the first phase survey while all other municipalities have cleared payments for the second phase too.

Pithapuram Municipal Commissioner M Ram Mohan said remunerations will be paid within two days. He expressed anger over municipal officials and clerks for the delay. He ordered them to credit respective amounts in the accounts of the enumerators.
