​Kakinada: For creation of self sustained entities, promotion of MSME industrial units is very essential and incentives to such units should be processed immediately, said Kartikeya Misra, District Collector, East Godavari.

While speaking at the District Industries Promotion Committee meeting held at Collectorate on Friday , the collector said that the government has taken up the decentralised incentive payment policy and requested the industries department to process the applications received for this purpose.

He further said that there is a vast scope for SC,ST and women entrepreneurs for establishing industrial units and a separate meeting would be organised with the district branch of Dalit Chamber of Commerce and Industry soon, to encourage SC entrepreneurs .

The collector also directed the APIIC officials to finalise the sites for establishing MSME Industrial parks in assembly constituencies in the district and to process land clearances for large and mega units and MOUs entered through partnership summits .

Following a single window policy for industrial clearances and encouragement of coir units in the district through NABARD were also suggested by the collector. With regard to PM Employment Guarantee program, collector directed the bankers for quick scrutiny of applications and speed up grounding.

In this meeting collector reviewed progress of large and mega units’ establishment, the MSME targets, single desk clearances etc.
