West Godavari to pioneer Panchayat E-Meetings from June
A new innovative project to extend transparent administration- “Panchayat E-Meeting”- will be implemented in the Gram Panchayats in West Godavari district from June 1 this year. Under the new concept, the meetings of panchayats will be uploaded online along with minutes and resolutions passed in the meetings.

Eluru: A new innovative project to extend transparent administration- “Panchayat E-Meeting”- will be implemented in the Gram Panchayats in West Godavari district from June 1 this year. Under the new concept, the meetings of panchayats will be uploaded online along with minutes and resolutions passed in the meetings.
The E-meeting, the brainchild of West Godavari district Collector K Bhaskar is first of its kind in the country to go online. The new project will collect comprehensive information of earlier Panchayat meeting resolutions and minutes from the time of inception of respective panchayats.
In West Godavari district as many as 911 Gram Panchayats now go online. The collector is of the opinion that, this e-meeting project is very useful to persons who wish to know about various panchayats in the district from all over the globe.
The collector directed the District Panchayat Officer Sudhakar to impart training to Village Sarpanches and Secretaries on how to conduct the E-meetings at a review meeting held in Collectorate here.
The Collector who brought the district into first place in E-filing has now concentrated on the Gram Panchayats. He directed officials to set up Mini Mee Seva centres in all panchayats in the district and provide the services to the villagers to avoid expenses and strain to the villagers
