12 injured as bus hits tree at Itchapuram

Srikakulam: Twelve persons sustained injuries when a bus in which they were travelling hit a road-side tree on national highway (NH-16) at Loddaputti near Itchapuram town on Friday.
According to police, the bus was carrying 34 passengers from Visakhapatnam to Balasore in Odisha. The bus driver lost control over it and tilted into road-side fields and hit a tree.
All the injured were shifted to Itchapuram government hospital for treatment. Of the injured, the condition of two persons is stated to be critical.
On information, police rushed to the spot and registered a case.
