5,400 Deepam gas connections distributed in special drive
Krishna District Joint Collector Gandham Chandrudu said that about 5,400 new gas connections were sanctioned under Deepam scheme under special drive which was conducted in Krishna district on Friday. The Joint Collector said that district would be announced as kerosene-free and pollution-free district by June 2.

The Joint Collector said that district would be announced as kerosene-free and pollution-free district by June 2.
He distributed Deepam gas connections at Gandhiji Mahila Kalasala in the city. The Joint Collector said that 2,200 new gas connections were sanctioned in the city and 700 in Gudivada, 1,500 connections for Nuzvidu and 800 gas connections for Machilipatnam. The eligible persons can apply, along with Aadhaar card, bank passbook and two passport size photos for getting new gas connection, he added. He made it clear that Deepam scheme gas connections would be sanctioned free of cost.
