Challa Anuradha takes charge as In-Charge GMC Commissioner
Municipal administration department regional director Challa Anuradha took charge as Guntur Municipal Corporation In-Charge Commissioner from S Nagalakshmi who has been posted as Joint Collector of Prakasam district. Speaking on the occasion, Anuradha said that she will strive to solve drinking water problem and improve sanitation in the city. She said that she would try to develop the city.

Speaking to reporters, S Nagalakshmi thanked the officials and people's representatives who extended their cooperation for the development of the city during her tenure. She said that the Guntur Municipal Corporation is in first place in the state in the tax collections and given five per cent concession in property tax collections. She further stated that the Guntur Municipal Corporation is implementing summer action plan at a cost of Rs 624.48 crore and added that comprehensive drinking water scheme was taken up at a cost of Rs 460 crore is at a finishing stage.
