He participated in the 107th International Nursing Day celebrations held at SVIMS Auditorium here on Friday. Speaking on the occasion, Ravi Kumar said nursing profession occupies a key role in the medical field.

The slogan for this year’s Nursing Day is “Nurses: A voice to lead–Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals,” and the day is celebrated every year on May 12 which is the birth anniversary of Florence Nightingale known as Lady with Lamp.
SVIMS College of Nursing Principal Sudha Rani and Nursing Superintendent Sunitha also spoke on the occasion.

Two nurses Ramanamma and Rama Devi were felicitated by Prof Bhupati of Sri Venkateswara University for their services during the Indian Science Congress (ISC) held in January this year. Dr Alok Sachan, Dr Kalavath, Dr Suresh, Dr Govinda Narayana and Dr Siva Kumar participated.
