Tirupati: The forlorn children had a reunion at last with their mother on Friday after 21 days of their father’s death. Renuka, wife of Jayachandra Naidu, who was killed in Yerpedu accident on April 21, reached her home in Munagalapalem on Friday. She was working in Riyadh in Saudi. As she could not reach her home after her husband’s death, her two children Mohith (6) and Yagna (4) were left with no parental love and care for all these days.

But Renuka was not relieved by her employer Sheik, who sought Rs 2.5 lakh to enable her to return home to lend the much needed solace and support to the children longing for her. A petition was filed in Lok Ayukta also on the situation and it has issued notices to the Department of Women and Child Welfare for their response.

The government took initiative in bringing her back. Speaking to the media at Munagalapalem, she said, she thought of committing suicide many a time as she could not come here to look after the children. She wept inconsolably stating that she could not see her husband for the last time, and thinking about her children’s plight after Jayachandra Naidu’s death. She pointed out that she does not even possess a house.
