New Delhi: The chairman of the SC Corporation Jupudi Prabhakar here on Saturday asked YSRCP president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy to disclose the real reason behind seeking an appointment with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Referring to Jagan's visit to New Delhi the other day and his unilateral unsolicited support to the BJP in the Presidential elections, Jupudi said it was unfortunate that the former compromised on the demand for Special Category Status (SCS).

The SCS had been the mainstay of Jagan's political activity in the last three years and yet, he thought it fit to support the BJP without insisting on the SCS for AP.As for Telugu Desam Party, it chose an alternate developmental package and hence was not raising the issue of the SCS as it found a better developmental agenda even in the absence of the Status. He challenged Jagan to get his MPs' resign and re-contest on the issue of SCS as claimed by him earlier and win the elections.

But, instead Jagan had chosen to put the issue on backburner and was now trying to mislead the people. Moreover, it sounded odd to hear Jagan praising Modi and the BJP as the former always claimed to be secular and had designed his campaign around anti-Hindutva plank to seek SC, ST and minority votes.

Was it not the fear of going to jail that made Jagan meet the Prime Minister, he asked. The BJP would not bail out Jagan from his cases as it was against corruption and was cleansing the politics off all corrupt practices. Referring to the US tour of the CM N Chandrababu Naidu, Prabhakar said it was a great success going by the commitments made by top companies there for opening shop in Amaravati.

The tour should be an eye opener to people like Jagan who were against the development of AP, he said referring to the attempt of the YSRCP to cancel Naidu's engagement in the US through its mails. Despite, such venomous mails, the tour was a super success, Prabhakar said.

Similarly, Nara Lokesh too on his maiden tour to New Delhi signed an agreement with the HCL for the establishment of two campuses that would provide direct employment to at least 5,000 in AP, he said. That showed how relentlessly the father and son duo was working for the state and Jagan should be ashamed of his anti-TDP campaign, he said.
