MP YV Subba Reddy calls for construction of ESI Hospital in Ongole
Ongole MP YV Subba Reddy urged the Employees State Insurance Corporation to immediately take up the construction of ESI Hospital in Ongole which was already promised by the Union Minister.The MP met Deepak Kumar, the Director General of ESI and Additional Secretary for the Miinistry of Labour and Employment, on Saturday in New Delhi. Ongole: Ongole MP YV Subba Reddy urged the Employees State Insurance Corporation to immediately take up the construction of ESI Hospital in Ongole which was already promised by the Union Minister.The MP met Deepak Kumar, the Director General of ESI and Additional Secretary for the Miinistry of Labour and Employment, on Saturday in New Delhi. He explained the officer that more than 10,000 workers and beneficiaries of ESI are living in and around Ongole and they are facing a lot of trouble for treatment to their health problems.
He said that the Union Minister has promised the workers that an ESI super specialty hospital will be constructed soon in Ongole, along with the construction of permanent building for the ESI dispensary at Markapur. The MP asked the officer to take up the construction of the super specialty hospital as well as the dispensary by sanctioning the promised adequate funds immediately.
After the meeting the MP said that the officer has promised to initiate action in the matter soon. The central medical commissioner RK Katharia also participated in the meeting with the director general of ESI along with the MP YV Subbareddy
